Who is Sapphire Wetwork?
In humble beginnings in 1998, Scott and Lee Salisbury started a small mobile pool service business - Sapphire Coast Wetwork Pool & Spa Maintenance, over the years it has grown and developed and became what it is today – 'Sapphire Wetwork Pool & Spa' with both a retail and service division.
A family owned and operated business, Sapphire Wetwork prides itself on providing personal friendly service. Always striving to keep up to date with new products and industry developments, ensuring our customers receive the best service and information available.
Scott Salisbury – Scott is 'the Brawn' - our head service technician and company director, and our BIG van driver. Fully Accredited Service Technician and Licensed with the Department of Fair Trading for Swimming Pool and Spa Maintenance and Service. Scott has 13 years of experience in the pool industry and a further 9 years in water and waste water management. Scott is responsible for most of the equipment repairs, new equipment installations, liner replacements, heating installations and major clean ups. His quality plumbing work has been admired by industry stalwarts. When he’s not out working on pools, you’ll find him spending time with his boys at Nippers on patrol in Summer or in winter at Soccer, or if he's lucky he might be catching a wave or a fish.
Lee Salisbury – Lee is 'the Brain' – the Manager of Sapphire Wetwork – Lee is the face of the retail side of the business, but also tries to keep the service boys in line......you'll find her behind the counter in the shop, working away on the computer – or the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. A wealth of information, Lee is a fully accrediated service technician with 12 years experience, and prides herself on learning everything about anything in the pool industry – if she doesn’t already know it she won’t hesitate to find out about it. Lee is held in high regard in the industry for her knowledge on pool heating – including solar and heat pumps, pool filtration and especially pool chemicals and chemistry, and she is more than happy to impart her knowledge to her customers. Lee is also responsible for ALL of the day to day running of the business, so given her busy schedule- if your account or quote is delayed she apologises in advance :). When not working, you will find Lee helping out with reading her boy’s school, being a soccer mum in winter or sitting at the beach in summer worrying while the boys are surfing.
Steve Podger – Steve is our right hand man and service technician, our little van driver – just about as local as you can get – has over 20 years experience working with commercial pools and has been with Sapphire Wetwork for over 3 years. Steve is responsible for the Regular Maintenance side of the service division, he carries out the regular service requirements of our clients, with a smile. Steve’s friendly and helpful manner has endeared him to many of our regular service clients. Steve can also be found in the shop occasionally – filling in for Lee when need be. If you're lucky Steve may impart to you a good fishing spot or two.......if you're lucky....really lucky!
Our Boys – the Salisbury boys – Cooper, Ashton and Lawson. Many a customer can recall the pre-shop days when Lee would on occasion assist Scott with onsite service work – with a protruding pregnant belly, our family has developed over the years along with the business. Now we are grooming our boys to help out in the business and you are sure to see the boys in the shop or in the van with Scott over the coming years. Cooper can often be found in the shop on a Saturday morning – stocking the shelves, assisting customers to the car with their purchases and learning from mum how to test pool water.
